Annet Mahendru
Mahendru's parents were Russian and a Hindu Indian. She was born in Afghanistan. She has a good command of German Russian English. Annet Mahendru, born in India, to her Russian father and an Indian mother, is proficient in both languages. A choreographed performance at age 11 which aired on German television, transformed her into a Russian dancer who was a snow maiden. When she graduated from New York's High School, she was awarded her bachelor's in English degree at St. John's University. After school she took acting classes in the HB Studio but then moved on to study improvisation in The Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. She was raised in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, as well as an Russian-speaking mother Olga. She moved into East Meadow New York, with her father when she was 13, and is now starring alongside Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel on FX's The Americans. Television actress best known for her portrayal of an ex- KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova on FX's The Americans. She also had recurring roles on Fox's The Following as well as The Blacklist on NBC.
